Vampires and rock music
Oh, the perfect match that is between vampires and rock music. It's just perfect for them.
As you probably know from my previous posts, I love the vampire Lestat. That is why I read The Vampire Chronicles by Ann Rice. I recommend those books. If you love vampires, real vampires. The modern vampires are not that good. I don't quite like the idea of vampires being out in the daylight. They are creatures born in darkness and in darkness they must live, that is their curse. If they can have a normal life and go to Starbucks by day or to the Mall, what kind of vampire is that? No, I like my vampires old-school. That is why some of the secondary characters in the fantasy novel I am working on are vampires. But they live in darkness, they feed on human blood.
One of the best movies about vampires is Interview with the vampire. I've watched it more than 100 times. Tom Cruise is the perfect Lestat. He portraits the character in such a way that you might think he really really is Lestat and being Tom Cruise is just a cover. On the other hand, the only thing I liked about Queen of the damned was the music. Just that.
So what do you think about vampires? What do you think about the books and movies on vampires and mostly, doesn't it fit with rock music? Think about it...
I made a video entitled "Lifeless". It's about the transformation of Louis and the way it makes him feel. I hope you like it. Here it is:
