Keep on keeping on
Yes, this is the song I listen to almost every day because it motivates me greatly and because I like Brendon Urie. I am now going to analyze the song lyrics. Why? Because I want to. I am going to make a tradition out of this and from time to time I am going to do this analyzing thing. As I said in the beginning, in my first post in English, my blog is going to be about everything I find interesting. And believe me, I like a lot of things. A lot of nice, wonderful, cute, interesting things. So...let's begin.
This is the video, as you all may know. If you don't know it, watch it and listen to the song. It's a great song.
You can find the lyrics to the song here.
So let's begin my dears. The whole song is awesome, the lyrics are great but I must admit that I do have some favorite parts. The chorus, of course. Mr. Brendon Urie does a nice job. His acting skills and voice are really enjoyable, not to mention the fact that he reminds me of myself, I am fun and funny like that too. But enough about me, ladies and gentlemen. The chorus is like " You gotta keep on keeping on even with the feeling that you're gonna keep losing, you gotta come back strong". That means that you don't have to be discouraged by failures. You must learn to overcome them and stay strong. The song is about not losing hope in your power to stand tall when faced with adversities.
No matter what others say or thing about you, if they look down and you and think that you are worth nothing you shouldn't believe them. There is such a great potential in each and everyone of us. The only person that is truly responsible for our happiness is the one you look at in the mirror. If we make a promise to ourselves that we will succeed and we will become better persons we should keep that promise and be happy with the results that hope and perseverance bring about.
I don't know about you guys but when I listen to this song I feel so energized because I can relate to it on so many levels. I've been a kid that no one really knew in school, I just kept to myself. On the other hand I am the type of person that expects the worse but hopes for the best. I still have to work on the expecting the worse part. But I am a dreamer, an idealist...and nothing really scares me because I know there is a reason for everything, even bad things.
My young soul dances to the rhythm of positive songs. We need more of these and more of positive people. We have the power to make the world a better place. Let's use it.
Love, peace, light!
