Childhood memories

Not so long ago I was just a kid. Now I am a kid at heart and in spirit. ( and in mind, I tell you that)
I can remember that my childhood was beautiful. No stress, no cares, no drama, it was mostly just fun and games and discovering the world around.

Something that made a huge difference in my life was the fact that I had access to Cartoon Network. Yep, don't laugh. Without it I wouldn't have discovered my love for the English language. Well, actually I would have but much later on in school, 3 years later to be exact. Why does that even matter? Probably it doesn't but I just wanted to let you know that speaking and writing in English is something that I absolutely love and I can't forget where it all started. Well, probably it started very long ago in another life but let's just focus on this one for now.

I want to post here a series of things that made my childhood great. Oh, I am a '90s kid. Gotta love those years, man...Gotta love them.

First of all... Pirates Of Dark Water. I was 4 when I used to watch this!

With no introduction and lots of love I give you...Sailor Moon! Yes,the first anime I ever watched. I didn't even know at that time what anime was, but I do now. And it's something that I like a lot as you might have noticed if you read my previous posts. ^_^

Other notable cartoons and anime I watched as a kid would be these ones. Yep, mostly all of the shows on Cartoon Network in the '90s.

Next, let's review the movie category of my childhood. I will be honest with you and say that I loved to watch horror movies. That might have something to do with the weird personality I have today but I am not complaining. I love horror movies and that is that. How can you not like Freddy, Chucky, Dracula or Pennywise? Today's horror movies are not scary at all, they just scare you with the fact that they are bad.

Of course, as a  kid you had to listen to some kind of music. It was some good music back then, catchy or interesting. Just a few examples right here, my dear friends. Note that they are not made by me, I just make a few selections from the great range of material available on YouTube.

Another important part in a kid's life were games! Real games and video games! Let's take a look.

How about some candy talk, huh? I cannot talk about international candy from the 90s because hey, I live in Romania. So here is some candy I remember from my childhood.

What I cherish most about these childhood memories are the ones I shared them with. The most important persons in my life back then besides my parents and grandparents were my two exceptional cousins that I love very much. The two are brother and sister and they were the most fantastic people in the world for me. They are younger than me but besides being related we were the best of friends, we had so much fun together and learned so much about life and who we were. We would invent and play our own games, play pranks on the neighbors, give prank calls and just enjoying every minute of the day. Now we are all grown up. I am almost 25, he (my cousin) is 21 and his sister is almost 19. Yeah, we're old but nothing changes the fact that we are 90's kids. And that is great!

Thank you for reading this, my friends. Maybe you would like to share some of YOUR childhood memories. Fell free to do so in the comments below.

Have a great day!
