50 shades of Kay

This is me answering 50 questions. Enjoy.

1.    What are your nicknames? What do you prefer to be called?
I love to be called Cory Kay. Cory because my name is Corina but Cory sounds more friendly and cool and Kay because that is the family name of the main character in the novel I am writing. And yes, that character is my alter ego.
2.    What books on your shelf are begging to be read?
I need to buy more books. I don’t have too many books on my shelf but rather in my computer in pdf format.
3.    How often do you doodle? What do your doodles look like?
When I talk on the phone I doodle all the time. The way they look depends on the person I’m talking too and what are they saying...it may be doodles of despair as some people don’t know when to end the conversation.
4.    What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep? Toss and Turn? Try to get up and do something productive?
I get up and write or draw...or watch funny videos on youtube.
5.    How many days could you last in solitary confinement? How would you do it?
Maybe 20 days...I would talk to myself and figure some things out. I do have interesting conversations with myself so that wouldn’t be a problem.
6.    Do you save old greeting cards and letters? Throw them away?
I save them. They are great memories. I also save all my movie tickets or concert tickets.
7.    Who is the biggest pack rat you know?
Lots of people...they just don’t throw their old things away. They should...old things keep old energies. Not good for a home.
8.    When making an entrance in to a party, do you make your presence known? Do you slip in and look for someone you know? Do you sneak in quietly and find a safe spot to roost?
It depends on my mood. I do all those things.
9.    What is your strongest sense? If you had to give one up, which would it be?
Touching I guess. I sometimes don’t hear that well, my eyesight is not that great, my smell...meh...taste I love...I wouldn’t give up on that but would probably benefit me because I wouln’t eat so many sweets and pack on the pounds. Maybe I would give up on smell. Some people stink.
10.  How many times a day do you look at yourself in the mirror?
At least 3 times a day. But as often as I can. I look great, I love my face and my body is not that bad either.

I still believe strange things...so...don’t go there.
12.  What is one guilty pleasure you enjoy too much to give up?
Eating. It is how it is.
13.  Who performs the most random acts of kindness out of everyone you know?
Pfff....hard question. They do perform random acts of kindness but I am not that impressed so I’ll let it slide...but the persons that come to my mind are some women that are very kind and have such a nurturing personality.
14.  How often do you read the newspaper? Which paper? Which sections?
Once a month maybe, or not even then...I read the gossip sections, of course. As a PR I need to be stalking on those stars...
15.  Which animals scare you most? Why?
People scare me the most. Because they are idiots.
16.  Are you more likely to avoid conflict or engage it head-on?
I don’t avoid it. If I can, I do...but if conflict finds me or I find it...bring it on! I go in the fight like I am in Mortal Kombat X. And I do love those fatalities.
17.  What was the most recent compliment you’ve received and savored?
That I have an attitude problem. That wasn’t meant as a compliment but I took it like that because I love to be the black sheep...or even better, the wolf. Muhahaha.
18.  What is something about yourself that you hope will change, but probably never will?
I can change. But something that I think won’t change is the fact that I am childish. It’s in the core of my being. I cannot change that even if I wanted to act all mature and responsible...that and the fact that I am a sensitive human.

I have many. One of them is “trust me, I’m a PR specialist”.
31.  What’s your reaction towards people who are outspoken about their beliefs? What conditions cause you to dislike or, conversely, enjoy talking with them?

Honesty, kindness and that light in their eyes that tells the story of their lives.

Fear. Because it’s the path to the dark side. And I am still afraid of many things…that is holding me back. But I am in the process of facing my fears.

In getting jobs and making money. I hate jobs because I can’t be submissive but I need money so I have to give some value to the marketplace. I just want to write…

Not that difficult, I don’t give a rat’s ass.
48.  When did you immediately click with someone you just met? Why? What was the long term result? Conversely, are you close with anyone now that you really disliked at first?
Just these last two weeks I met some very interesting persons and we just clicked. I think that we will remain long term friends because these things happened to me before and I am still friends with those persons. On the other hand, if I dislike someone from the very beginning I can never change my mind.
50. When do you find yourself singing?

Mostly when I am in the shower or alone in my room.
